All You Need Is Love…

I love a wedding. Like, properly love them. I don’t know whether it’s just the romance of the occasion, the thought that a couple put into their day, the chance to spend Β time with family and friends, or the opportunity it gives me to reminisce back to our own wedding day. Whatever the reason, one thing I know for sure is that I will go from shedding a tear or two (not sure for how much longer I can blame this on hormones), to dancing and laughing the night away. And last weekend was no exception to this.

Add in the fact that this was a festival wedding, and that we were glamping in a gorgeous furnished bell tent, and I was one happy, happy lady.

I mentioned the thought that goes into planning a wedding, but I have never seen attention to detail like I did at these nuptials. From the food, to the bar, to the children’s play area, the bands, the ‘glam gazebo’, the dressing up area… the list really does go on. Not to mention the posh loos!! They really had thought of everything.

And now onto Lucy and Jam, the stars of the show. Two (and a bit) years ago we walked into the same baby group and the rest, as they say, is history. Along with the other members of our now ‘tribe’, we just all clicked. We show that seven people who are all so different can be so similar in our approaches to friendship, to parenting and to the world. We go out of our way for each other, we support each other, and, most importantly, we drink prosecco together! Add in the husbands and small people and we have ourselves one amazing group of friends. So, I just want to say thank you to The Coopers, for giving us a reason to spend some quality time together, we all had the best time.

Lucy and Jamie you are a wonderful, unconventional, blissfully happy couple. You are truly amazing parents to Woody and Rowan, and the happiness, love and togetherness was so clear to see between you. And yes, I sobbed during their declarations to each other (as soon as a man gets emotional, that’s me gone!).

I completely believe that marriage makes a couple stronger, and I do believe it changes things – for the better of course. You respect each other for making the biggest commitment you could make. It really is the happiest day of your life, and you get to share that with everyone else that you love. I’m not saying there aren’t testing times in all marriages, that is a given in life.

But at the end of the day, through all the ups and downs, all you need is love. And there was definitely a lot of that.
